More Information

Are you an experienced Headteacher with a passion for providing pupils with SEND with a quality learning experience?

Lime Academy Ravensbourne is a special school in Havering, catering for pupils aged 2-19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex medical needs.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in SEND education to lead their dedicated members of staff, to ensure every pupil receives a high-quality education, designed to meet their individual needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a special school, where the amazing children and staff make this a highly rewarding and humbling role.

As the leading figure within the school, you’ll be driving forward change and developing a bespoke curriculum that caters to the specific needs of the pupils, while upholding the overarching themes and values of the Lime Trust.

You’ll be working with a fantastic group of teachers and you will need to oversee a robust programme of CPD to make sure that they’re being upskilled to develop into future leaders. As well as managing the use of the school’s resources, you’ll look to the future to implement policies and strategies that benefit pupils and staff.

Crucially, you’ll be working with staff to help prepare pupils for adulthood and make sure that they are given the tools and education they need to succeed.

As the face of the school, you must be able to inspire pupils to reach their full potential by delivering a quality learning experience throughout the school.

Having been a proven leader in an education setting, you’ll be especially committed to SEND education, with a dedication to seeing pupils with PMLD get the most out of their education.

You’ll need experience driving forward change within schools, both in terms of implementing policies and leading whole school improvement. You’ll also have experience with partnership working, as well as a strong understanding of safeguarding and health and safety policies.

Ultimately, you’ll be committed to seeing pupils thrive and succeed.

First and foremost, our pupils are delightful, eager to learn and make the Lime Trust schools vibrant and fulfilling places to work. We have high expectations and a strong commitment to raising standards.

Joining the Lime Trust, you’ll be part of a vast network of leaders and headteachers whom you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with. Within Lime Academy Ravensbourne, you’ll be joining a special team that will inspire a great sense of pride in the work you’re doing for the school’s amazing pupils.

As well as investing in our staff through fantastic development opportunities and a quality working environment, we offer a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Cycle scheme
  • Government supported childcare voucher scheme
  • CPD opportunities, including support with external courses for career development
  • Enhanced maternity leave benefits
