More Information

Domiciliary Care Officer/Care Worker (Female Only)

Are you looking for regular flexible working hours while studying?

We offer a paid 7 day training and induction programme during the holidays. Once you complete this training, you can join our bank staff and work as part of a care team in our later life services on an ad-hoc basis, at times which work for you e.g. overnight, at weekends, during the holidays.

We are looking for motivated, outgoing and caring people with a natural desire to help others to join our care services and support our vulnerable customers during this difficult time.

You must have the right to work in the UK and have good communication skills. We are looking for candidates who are keen to attend training and join Notting Hill Genesis in due course.

At NHG we are passionate about our staff and take pride in nurturing our own talent. As part of our commitment to our staff development, we have an internal programme designed for DCOs/Care Workers to develop their skills and confidence to help them progress to more senior roles.

We’re a diverse organisation and people joining us in this position have gone on to a variety of roles, from positions such as Care Coordinator, Support Assistant, Housing Officer and Sheltered Housing Officer.

If you have compassion, energy and enjoy helping people, we'd like to hear from you!

Please note that due to business needs and due to our residents' needs, we are currently only recruiting for female Care Workers. This exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.

Application Process

There are 2 sections that you will need to complete as part of the application process:

Section 1 – You’ll be asked to upload your CV. We will then ask you a few questions that will give us a better understanding of you and the type of contract you are looking for. The information you provide will enable us to consider if your requirements match what we are looking for.

Section 2 – Once you have successfully completed section 1, you will need to complete a 20-minute comprehension assessment. You do not need to have prior Care experience to complete the assessment.

Please note that you will be asked that this position is subject to enhanced DBS check.

How to Apply

Our ethos is to provide equal opportunities to all, and to ensure we represent the communities we serve – we have joined the G15’s diversity pledge to encourage ethnic (BAME) diversity in housing association leadership.

We welcome applications from colleagues from all backgrounds. If you have the skills, experience and values we're seeking, we encourage you to take this opportunity to grow your career.

Please apply online, if you are not able to apply online or require any reasonable adjustments, please contact the HR team to discuss your requirements via jobs@nhg.org.uk.

As you may be aware, if an internal NHG redeployee applies for this role, their application will be considered before any others. In the event that this happens, we will let other candidates know. If you are a redeployee, please let us know that you have submitted an application by emailing jobs@nhg.org.uk.

Please note that this role is being advertised internally only and should not be shared with contacts outside of NHG as external applications will not be considered.
