Permanent Part Time (18.5hrs)

To fulfil the role, you will be self-motivated and ideally have working knowledge of private sector housing legislation. The varied role will primarily focus on improving housing standards in the private rented sector, giving you an opportunity to use and build on your skills in housing standards enforcement. There may be occasions where you will assist residents through the processing of grant enquiries and applications, including DFGs.

You will hold certificates of training in HHSRS, including HHSRS enforcement and ideally have experience of HMO licensing, inspection and enforcement.

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Building Studies/Construction, or have recent experience working in a housing environment, including experience in carrying out detailed inspections of domestic property and drawing up schedules of work.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
