Hays is proud to be working in partnership with Castle Point Borough Council who are recruiting a Revenues Manager to join their virtual Customer & Digital Services team, based at their offices in Benfleet, Essex. The role offers fully remote working, with just occasional office-based meetings.

The Revenues Manager will be an experienced, motivated and highly resilient person. Managing and directing all aspects of a busy high-profile Revenues Service. You will also play a big role as part of their small but dynamic management team - shaping and designing key services and exploring innovative and creative service solutions across this challenging and rapidly evolving sector.

As Revenues Manger you will be expected to provide effective management of the Revenue Services team and all annual and daily billing administration functions relating to Council Tax and Business Rates.  You will have a team of approx. 20 staff including a debt collection and in-house bailiff team. You must have previous local government experience of managing and overseeing the day to day administration of all aspects of Council Tax, Business Rates, and Sundry Debt collection and recovery. Also have authoritative knowledge of current legislation & practices in relation to Council Tax and Business Rates.
