Social Worker (Recruitment and Assessment) - Adoption Partnership South East

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced social worker to join one of our Recruitment and Assessment Teams within Adoption Partnership South East.  This is an exciting time to be a part of this newly launched Regional Adoption Agency which provides adoption services on behalf of the London Borough of Bexley, Kent County Council and Medway Council. 

 

Our Recruitment and Assessment Teams work with prospective adopters to advise and support them through the whole assessment process, the process of being matched with children and then through the early placement period up to the point of an Adoption Order.

You will work with families to complete robust adoption assessments ensuring that you are preparing families well for the role of being adoptive parents.  

You will also work with social work colleagues to achieve appropriate matches for your families supporting the family as part of the professional network following placement and through to the point of the granting of an Adoption Order.

The Recruitment and Assessment Teams facilitate their own training for potential adopters and once children are adopted support and training is available for families from the Family and Support Service Teams within Adoption Partnership South East.

 

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and to registration as a qualified Social worker with Social Work England.

Salary is dependent on experience and progression through the career grade is based on the fulfilment of required capabilities. Applicants must be able to evidence that they have successfully progressed to the required competency level via a recognised career progression pathway when they submit their application.
