Our Customer Services team is the first point of contact for customers who visit our offices or telephone our Contact Centre. We assist customers across a wide range of council services by providing information or recording their service requests, or by ensuring that they are referred to the right service area.
Working hours: 37 hrs Monday to Thursday 8:30 – 17:00 and Friday 8:30 – 16:30
The salary scale for this post is scale D (£19,312) to Scale F (£25,481).
The starting salary will be at our scale D (£19,312) with progression depending on experience, skills and knowledge, as detailed in the job description to scale F (£25,481).

You may be required to work at our Market Street in Newbury, on reception or in the contact centre, with the opportunity for home working too after the probation period.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
