Treasury Management Officer, Part-Time 18.125 hours per week, Fixed Term to September 2022
Band F, £30,451 to £33,782 (£15,225 - £16,981 pro rata)
An exciting opportunity is available within our Finance team at the heart of a multimillion pound business, providing a wide range of services to over 4,300 council tenants, 97,000 residents and 4,000 businesses across North West Leicestershire. The team is at the centre of the council’s journey to self-sufficiency, a strategy that will enable the council to remain financially resilient in the midst of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and future local government funding changes.
The Treasury Management Officer will manage the council’s treasury function on a daily basis and support the production of key strategies and the annual accounts throughout the year. Supporting the Finance Team Manager to manage the council’s cash securely, this new role will ensure availability of funds whilst achieving optimum yield on investments and minimising interest paid on local authority borrowing.
The successful applicant will ideally be AAT qualified and have a strong finance and treasury management background. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a flexible manner.
