The procurement team is based at the Council's Headquarters, in Huyton. The team provides a professional procurement service to internal commissioners and collaborates with other procurement teams in the Liverpool City Region.
You will be responsible for leading the Council’s procurement team, implementing best practice, innovative strategies and procedures to ensure the achievement of value for money across the Council's procurement activity.
The successful applicant will be fully Qualified to Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or equivalent with substantial experience of working within a public sector procurement environment alongside detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and its effective application.
