Lancaster City Council are pleased to offer a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated individual to join our Council Housing Administration Team as an Admin Assistant.
As an apprentice you will work towards a Business Administration Level 3 qualification, which is expected to take approximately 12 - 18 months to complete.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, have a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn about all aspects of the Council Housing systems. This role involves general administrative duties as required.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be appointed to the permanent post of Administration Assistant. The role is 37 hours per week a week on Grade 6 (SCP 04 - 07), which is £18,933 to £20,092 per annum. The starting salary will be SCP 04, £18,933 per annum. The successful candidate will receive an increment on an annual basis until they reach the top of the grade
The hours of work for this position are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday based at Palatine Hall although the candidate may initially be required to work from home due to COVID restrictions.
The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of this business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm.
