Principal Planning Enforcement Officer

£39,044 - £46,260 per annum inclusive of outer fringe allowance
37 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a Principal Enforcement Officer to be part of the wider Development Management team. You who will be responsible for planning enforcement work, investigating and monitoring alleged breaches of planning legislation relating to a variety of sites. You will need to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, applicants, agents, solicitors and the wider community as part of providing an efficient and responsive customer-focussed service. In addition, you will lead and coach a small team of enforcement officers.

You will have good communication and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate methodical and well organised working. It is essential that you have experience in enforcement and are able to work under pressure. You will have some experience in staff management and project management skills. 

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
