Team Manager 16+

The role

Southwark Children’s Services are recruiting a 16+ Team Manager to lead the 16+ service on our continuing improvement journey.

This is an amazing opportunity for an amazing and passionate person to work with our children and young people.

You are committed to working in partnership with our children and young people and determined to deliver the services they deserve together.

This is an exciting role that requires a leader with ambition, creativity and proven experience leading a Team in Children’s Services.

You will lead and manage a team in a sector leading co-designed 16+ Service – working with children, young people, staff and stakeholders.

There has been significant investment in this service with DFE innovation funding, work with Catch22, a developing Corporate Parenting agenda across the Council and the recent appointment of new integrated specialist posts, additional Personal Advisers and Social Workers.

You will lead and manage a team of three Social Workers, an Experienced Practitioner and two Personal Advisers.

You must understand the importance of using data to manage performance - knowing that data and performance tell us about children's experiences, wellbeing and journeys.

You must equally understand that the quality of the written work and relationships with children, families and partners is of the utmost importance.

Please read OFSTED’s letter following our recent inspection (published November 13 2020 ) to see what OFSTED found about our services to care Leavers.
