Lead IT Auditor

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Internal Audit & Corporate Fraud team and we are seeking an experienced IT Auditor with a wide range of audit skills to lead and manage the delivery of IT Audit, including consultancy work, across the Audit Partnership between Ipswich Borough Council and East Suffolk Councils.

You will join us on a permanent basis with part time and full-time options available.

You will be responsible for completing assigned audits from start to finish and supervising the work undertaken in relation to IT audit work. You will work to identify IT risks within the organisation and examine and evaluate the adequacy of controls to mitigate those risks.  You will also undertake ad-hoc projects, consultancy work and investigations as needed.

As an experienced IT professional with an IT audit qualification (e.g. CISA or equivalent), you will have an in-depth knowledge of IT management, security, networks and systems design. You should be a proactive and enthusiastic individual with highly effective interpersonal skills.

Whilst this post is predominantly based at Grafton House in Ipswich, the postholder will also deliver IT Audit work to East Suffolk Council; travel between these sites will be required as necessary.
