This new role presents an opportunity to join a small HR Team and work to a comprehensive training programme designed to prepare you for a future HR Advisor or Business Partner role.
The post will initially be on an 18 month fixed term basis, conditional on completing the CIPD Level 5 qualification. Successful completion will enable you to apply to become an Associate Member of the CIPD.
Your work programme will be aligned to the study programme, to enable you to succeed and truly gain ‘on the job’ HR skills, knowledge, and experience.
Working closely with the HR team, you will gain experience and exposure across all services as well having some specific areas of accountability such as:
- Leading the development and growth of our e-learning platform to support employee learning and development
- Supporting the HR Adviser with the management of disciplinary, ill health, absence, performance, grievance and redundancy issues, to ensure effective case management, and monitoring employee sickness absence
- Assisting with the development of training matrixes and skill gap analyses
- Supporting the design and delivery of new solutions that improve the style, approach and speed of job evaluation, e.g. the introduction of a job families approach.
You will have some previous experience within an HR team, and must have the pre-entry requirements for the CIPD Level 5 qualification.
You will have great communication, organisation and digital skills and most importantly, you will not be afraid to jump straight in, roll your sleeves up and provide a breadth of support – sometimes this will be administrative support, other times you will be directly influencing HR policy and employee development.
This role will certainly suit someone who has high levels of enthusiasm, good problem solving skills and a strong sense of ambition.
