Service Manager

Full time permanent posts based in Children’s Social Care will be to cover various positions including MASH, CIN, CP, LAC, Fostering, Disability and Safeguarding.

Reporting to the Head of Service for Children’s Social Care, we are looking for Service Managers that are committed to practice which is strengths based and focused on high quality relationships with children and families.  We are recruiting for a variety of Service Manager posts who will each have focus on particular areas for MASH, Child In need, Child protection, Looked After Children, Care Leavers, Locality Teams, safeguarding/QA.  Each will be responsible for ensuring effective performance management of the service to provide improved outcomes for our children, young people and families.  Leading service improvement in defined areas as part of the senior leadership team of the Children’s Social Care Department, you will have the opportunity to respond to new challenges and create the conditions for high quality social work to thrive.

The role will suit qualified and registered social workers with exceptional leadership qualities and a proven track record in the management of statutory social work, leading and motivating staff.  You will be committed to the professional development of yourself and others including the ability to coach and direct people and be able to showcase your skills in budgetary management and control.
