Hub Manager

Are you an experienced leader with a good understanding of housing and homelessness issues and proven experience of implementing organisational strategy, managing services, budgets and contract requirements over a large geographical area? Then join Shelter as a Hub Manager and you could soon be responsible for planning and delivering our community services in London.

About the role
As Hub Manager, well rely on you to work with colleagues, people with lived experience and partners to deliver Shelter’s strategy and community priorities in London and effectively steer systems change activity locally. You’ll also be responsible for the overall financial and performance management of the services within your portfolio. Leading Shelter London externally, including liaising with stakeholders from community organisations, local authorities, contractual partners, commissioners and funders will be important too. And, when it comes to empowering a management team to deliver on community and contractual priorities or ensuring that co-production with people with lived experience is at the heart of our delivery plans, again, we’ll count on you.

About you
Proactive, creative and commercially aware, you have a good understanding of housing and homelessness and, ideally, knowledge of related issues such as poverty and welfare benefits. You also have experience of delivering high quality service/business and the financial management/planning of large services, preferably across a large geographical area. A proven ability to deliver large contracts, drive efficiency and improve service effectiveness in a highly complex and regulated environment is important too, as is experience of working with community groups and people with lived experience of bad housing/homelessness. What's more, you have a proven ability to operate effectively at a senior level with an external audience, while engaging and influencing a variety of stakeholders also comes naturally to you.
