Halton Borough Council is currently recruiting for a full time Cemetery Worker position to work within our Cemeteries team, based in either Widnes or Runcorn.
You will be required to work outdoors on tasks including grave-digging, horticulture and cleansing to maintain our attractive cemeteries and grounds for visitors. The role will require the operation of a range of larger plant machinery, such as excavators, to provide grave digging and associated services.
Ideally,you will have previous experience in land-based working and grave excavation and be able to work professionally and sympathetically with members of the public.
You must posess GCSE English & Maths at grade D or above (or equivalent) and have gained a Level 2 Qualification in Horticulture. A Full UK driving license (B and B1) is essential for this role.
