Manager: Teenage Pregnancy Strategy
A priority for both Children Services and Public Health is targeted prevention and early intervention to ensure that young people get the help they need early so they can live safe and healthier lives in order to achieve their full potential.
Although numbers of teenage conceptions have dropped significantly in Hertfordshire, teenage pregnancy is both a cause and consequence of health and education inequalities.
As Strategy Manager, you would be the strategic lead within the County Council for Teenage Pregnancy, working across Children Services and Public Health.
You will develop and deliver a Teenage Pregnancy Strategy that encompasses a whole system approach to reduce teenage conceptions, supports young parents and works with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies across Hertfordshire.
This role will include working on multiple projects simultaneously, so you’ll be familiar with project management principles as well as confident to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills as you’ll be writing reports and giving presentations, and you’ll be a competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
If you share our passion and commitment to improving the wellbeing of young people living in Hertfordshire, then we would love to hear from you.
