If you have a passion for delivering projects that work with families from 0-19 around community food and nutrition and would like to be actively working with the Medway Food Partnership then this role could be for you.
The Public Health Improvement team are recruiting a Project Manager who will lead a multidisciplinary team that will work closely with a range of partners to achieve local and national ambitions.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Council, external health professionals, education establishments, private and voluntary independent childcare providers and the voluntary sector to deliver the project.
The successful candidate will need to bring innovative ideas and adapt to various communication methods for reaching the target audience. They will need to be proficient at communicating key health messages to improve the health of children and families across Medway.
These focus of this role will be on the delivery of outcomes that are not only set by key local and national priorities but also support ambitions highlighted in national and local strategies.
The successful applicant must have the ability to work to timescales, have great attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Post graduate diploma in public health, educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or demonstrable experience of working in health improvement/public health at an operational and strategic level
- Proven ability to develop effective partnerships to achieve practical outcomes across organizational boundaries including; statutory organisations, external agencies, community and voluntary organisations.
- Experience of managing and developing a team
