Locality Manager

Working alongside partners, Active Norfolk supports the county to be a place where being physically active is a normal part of everyday life for all. Where opportunities are designed around individuals and where community needs are promoted so effectively that everyone knows about them, and why they should be involved.

Supporting the implementation of an innovative new strategy, this exciting new role will lead lead a team of Locality Development Officers across the county to develop and implement a physical activity framework for each place. As a system-leader, you will develop and manage stakeholder relationships with key leaders across local government, health & social care and the VCSE sector, promoting the role of sport and physical activity. You will be a key member of the senior management team, contributing significantly to organisational leadership and working across the senior management team to ensure central policy and strategy priorities are reflected in the work of the locality team.

With experience of leading a high-performing team, you will have a detailed knowledge of the national and local sport and physical activity landscape, including a good understanding of local government policy and processes. Your excellent communication skills will develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and partners at leadership level, and your experience in developing and implementing evaluation methodologies will understand and articulate impact measures.
