Driver Support Worker

Job Title: Driver Support Worker
Salary: £18,562 - £19,312
Location: Borehamwood/ Cranborne Day Service
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a driver/support worker who can support adults with physical and/or learning difficulties to be transported to and from their homes to the day services. The applicant should have a valid UK Driving Licence with a category D1 on their licence.

The responsibility of the driver/support worker would be to ensure that the vehicles are checked daily and are road worthy. Some manual handling of clients in wheelchairs on and off the vehicle is required. As a driver support worker, you will also be required to assist service users within the centre or in the community to achieve their aims. Training for the role will be provided. The successful applicant will be required to complete the Care Certificate programme.

You will be required to complete a full supporting statement detailing your suitability based on the requirement of the role detailed on the job outline. If you not complete a full supporting statement your application will be rejected.
