Job introduction

We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join us and help transform one of the council’s key front-line services.

About the role

You’ll be part of a skilled team that’s driving forward the modernisation of our high-profile refuse and recycling services, which is at the heart of keeping Brighton & Hove a clean, tidy and safe city.

The role puts you at the centre of ensuring changes are introduced to improve the reliability of our day-to-day collection service. To achieve this you’ll work closely with a range of staff including managers, project officers, front-line staff and the trades unions.

You’ll also be taking a strategic role in the introduction of new waste streams such as food waste and working with our communications team to increasing resident recycling.

As managing change is a crucial element of the role, the successful applicant will already have significant experience of engagement, change management and programme planning, ideally within an operational setting.

This is an extremely important role for the council and one where the successful applicant will really a make huge difference.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, why not join us.
