What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining Optivo at an exciting time as we focus on developing innovative ways to involve our 90,000 residents in improving the way we work. Optivo’s 2020-25 Strategic Plan, ‘Co-creating our Future’ puts this front and centre. In this new role, you’ll be a key player in bringing our co-creation ambitions to life.

As Head of Co Creation & Resident Involvement you’ll lead the implementation of Optivo’s new Co-creation Framework and develop our approach. You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation, identifying opportunities for residents to co-create service improvements, policies and strategies. And you’ll work strategically to promote co-creation and involvement, both within Optivo and externally.

Another key part of the role is leading high quality neighbourhood involvement. You’ll oversee Optivo’s work to empower residents to tackle issues in their communities..
Managing and motivating your teams is pivotal to this role. You’ll provide effective management to ensure Optivo’s co-creation and involvement activity’s delivered to a high standard and has demonstrable impact. And you’ll support the Director of External Affairs & Resident Involvement in achieving wider departmental objectives.

What you’ll need
You’ll be an established manager with experience of developing and implementing new strategies and plans. You’ll have experience of effectively managing, motivating and inspiring staff, focusing them on successful outcomes.
You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both oral and written, along with strong influencing and negotiating to which secure the buy in of key stakeholders, internally and externally.
You’ll bring knowledge of co-creation models and approaches, with experience of delivering and implementing co-creation projects. This could be from any sector – what’s important is your ability to lead impactful co-creation and involvement activity. The successful candidate will have experience of service design and/or co-creation implementation skills, solid change management and budget experience.
