Health and Fitness Assistant

Lancaster City Council are currently recruiting for an exciting new post to work at award winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. We need a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our great team.

Salt Ayre Leisure Centre has the latest fitness and training equipment, an indoor adventure play area and indoor and outdoor climbing facilities. Not to mention an immersive spinning studio and dedicated training zone.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the centre’s fitness programme and assisting users of the fitness facilities to meet their goals. With a recognised minimum Level 2 Gym Instructors qualification, you will provide inductions and instruction to customers and will be able to devise personal fitness programmes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential in this role. The ability to deliver group exercise classes is also essential.

This post is permanent. Your hours of work will be 22.5 hours per week on a shift rota basis, including evenings and weekends. This post is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.

An enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service is essential.
