Could you be the next Head of Regional Employers for EELGA?
An exciting and rare opportunity to become the “go to” person for employers across the region’s local government family. This is a combination of corporate role, member of the senior management team and HR lead for the Regional Employers Organisation supporting the 50 councils in the East of England.
You’ll need in depth knowledge and experience of strategic HR/OD, workforce issues, employment law and national terms and conditions for local government.
An accomplished negotiator, skilful communicator and persuasive advocate; you will win the trust and confidence of Leaders, senior members, Chief Executives, Heads of HR/OD, partners and stakeholders including trades unions. You’ll provide practical solutions to the most complex of issues providing high level support and advice on the most sensitive situations and in absolute confidence.
Developing strong relationships with customers and our Associates will be a key priority as is the ability to think on your feet and provide answers quickly.
With a keen eye for spotting challenges, trends and commercial opportunities in the HR/OD space you’ll work with colleagues to provide timely support and advice and to turn opportunities into tangible benefits for member authorities.
As a leader you will demonstrate your commitment to supporting and developing staff and teams starting with yourself; you will have a track record of continuous professional development and practical experience of succession planning, talent development and creating a learning environment across teams.
