To promote wellbeing by helping people in North Somerset be as independent as possible for as long possible.

This is our vision for adult social care  - why not join us and help to put this into practice?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic permanent Senior Social Worker to join a well-established and supportive Adult Social Care Team based in Castlewood, Clevedon in North Somerset, (although working from home at present under current circumstances). The team covers the more Rural North patch of North Somerset including the towns of Clevedon, Portishead and Nailsea as well as all the surrounding villages.

The role will involve management and supervision of a small group of Social Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in relation to day to day HR recording; casework practice and decision making. We work closely with our local community Health provider - Sirona, Mental Health provider- AWP, Voluntary agencies and continue to look at developing and delivering a partnership approach to service provision.

Working for us you will have access to regular reflective supervision which empowers you to make evidence informed professional judgements drawing on the latest research, theories, legislation and policy frameworks. We promote working in a  strength-based way which recognises the importance of prevention and goes beyond traditional case management.

We are committed to a full learning and Development programme and Quality assurance framework and are members of RIP; providing every member of staff access to their resources.

We hold an annual conference for our Social Care staff inviting a range of high-profile speakers to the event to demonstrate our investment in our staff as well as provide time to reflect on and challenge our practice.
