Team Manager - Family and Friends Assessment Team

As the Team Manager of a Family and Friends Assessment Team you will be responsible for a team of social workers and senior practitioners, who you will support and lead to deliver consistent high quality assessments that identify the strengths and support needs of carers, so to ensure that the child in their care achieves the best possible outcomes.

About you.....

You will be a skilled and inspirational leader, providing motivation, supervision and support to a mixed social work team.  You will be confident in delivering our vision, strategy and direction within your team. You will ensure that you strategically operationally manage the performance of all workers to guarantee the highest standards of social work practice across all assessments and direct work.

You will have a strong management background with a child-focused multi-disciplinary approach.  You will be experienced in overseeing an assessment focused team, so ideally have a background in complex fostering assessments, including SGO's, Connected Persons and Form F's.  This will be coupled with your robust threshold knowledge, as well exceptional planning skills always with the child's voice at the centre of our decision making.

You will be used to overseeing and managing financial budgets, have strong interpersonal and personnel management skills, as well as maintaining positive professional relationships internally and externally with multi-agencies partnership working.
