Watmos has 3 housing estates in Lambeth with c.1300 properties. You will be responsible for ensuring we deliver a high quality, efficient and safe repairs and maintenance service to our properties. You will be able to survey and specify works, instructing and monitoring the performance of contractors, administering contracts and ensuring that customers are kept informed at all times. You will manage your own budget and monitor spend ensuring we achieve value for money and get the balance right between repair and replacement. You will have a good working knowledge of maintenance and property maintenance and health and safety working practices. If you have a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and equally enjoy working with customers and contractors this role is for you. The successful candidate will also possess strong written and verbal communication, time management, organisational, interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office packages to a high standard.
- Support the Head of Contracts, Surveyors and Technical Officer in providing management, quality control and technical support for all voids, responsive repairs, maintenance and stock improvement work to ensure that the organisation’s assets are maintained and developed in accordance with agreed business plans, objectives and standards.
- Visiting homes and assessing the works required, having regard to the clients’ choice and the needs of the property.
