Social Workers - Citywide Vacancies

Birmingham Children’s Trust continues to go from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of family support and social care services for children, young people and families in the country. Our goal is to become a centre of excellence in both social work and family support. Our caseloads are some of the lowest in the country and we have low numbers of agency workers, many choosing to convert to permanent members of staff.

During this unprecedented time, we have ensured that our staff have the right tools and support to work remotely and have access to offices when necessary. Practitioners will receive individual and group supervision and are provided with the opportunity to remain connected with their team and the wider service.

You will be a passionate, motivated and committed Social Worker who has completed their ASYE and wants to work with children and families to make a positive difference to their lives. You will be able to build effective relationships, carry out in-depth assessments of social need and risk to children, working in partnership with children, families and professionals, enabling their full participation in assessment, planning, review and decision making.

There has never been a better time to join Birmingham Children’s Trust and develop your career. Come and join Birmingham’s biggest family!

Our Vision

Our vision is to build a Trust that provides excellent social work and family support for and with the city’s most vulnerable children, young people and families.
