Are you a motivated, versatile and dynamic individual with a passion for the built environment, who enjoys working outdoors and wants to help make a positive contribution to the local area?  If so, Arun District Council would like to hear from you. We have a rare and exciting career opportunity within our Greenspace Service to help deliver tree surgery within our quality parks, public open spaces and residential sites.


The Greenspace Service, based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex are seeking a full-time Arborist. Candidates should be experienced, enthusiastic and a desire to contribute towards a successful team environment.


As a team player you should demonstrate a positive adaptable approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.  Good organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure are essential.  You must understand site health and safety requirements and you’ll need good communication skills to work with customers and partners.


The role is varied; you will primarily be required to undertake arboricultural tasks and when required assist with general repairs and maintenance of sea defences and ditches lines.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified arborist with a foundation in practical skills and plant machinery. You must be able to work on your own initiative with a proactive approach and able to prioritise work.  You will need to be able undertake the tasks set out in the job description and person specification outdoors and in all weathers.  A full valid driving licence is essential.
