Project Manager: South West Energy Hub

We are growing team and have an exciting opportunity for talented Project Managers to develop net zero local energy projects in the West of England, Gloucestershire, Dorset and Swindon and Wiltshire areas  

The Project Managers will lead the identification, co-ordination and development of energy projects in one of these areas, acting as the first point of contact for local authorities and other stakeholders to engage with the South West Energy Hub, which is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Project Managers also provide support across the Hub region, depending on their specific skills and experience.  Our current pipeline has more than 125 projects with a combined value exceeding £364m. 

Crucially, successful candidates will use their experience of project appraisal and development in the energy sector, to offer support throughout the process including options assessment, feasibility, building the business case, initial design & planning to securing investment.  Post holders will work with a wider team of project and technical colleagues to define an offer of support. As well as covering our geography we are also interested in a range of technical and project backgrounds across the zero carbon energy sector.

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis to 31 March 2023, with the potential for extension if additional funding is secured.  Secondments from other organisations will be considered.  

Location is flexible within West of England, Gloucestershire, Dorset & Swindon & Wiltshire, other locations may also be considered.
