Class Teacher

Welcome to New Road Primary School

At New Road Primary School we believe every child has the right to excel in a vibrant, safe educational environment that enhances life chances and achieves aspirations.  Our children are at the heart of everything we do and they are challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

A Growth Mindset ethos underpins our learning, building on the belief that every child can learn, we just learn at different speeds. We celebrate positive attitudes to learning, particularly when children persevere in the face of new challenges and succeed. Our school motto is simple:

Yes I Can!

We are a one and a half form entry, multi-cultural school and the children’s cultures are celebrated and some of our children become Young Interpreters supporting each other in school.

Would you enjoy the challenge of working in this inclusive environment?

We are looking for a creative, committed colleague to work as class teacher in our team. NQTs are welcome to apply. We place an emphasis on learning the skills of Reading, Writing and Maths and use Power of Reading class books and experiential learning to stimulate and enthuse learning.

Our children show wonderful attitudes to learning and are very inquisitive which has led to rapid attainment in learning. It is very important to us that our children have the support they need to achieve and all classes have Teacher Assistants.

What can we offer you?

The school offers good CPD opportunities and the development of staff is essential to our development.  We work in partnership with other schools which means that our staff learn from others and share their own good practice. We also encourage staff to attend courses to develop their skills across the curriculum.

If you are interested in working at New Road, please do contact us and arrange a visit.

New Road Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Successful candidates are subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.

Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply.
