Lawyer – Place Team

The Place Team in Medway and Gravesham Legal Services is looking to recruit lawyers following expansion within the team.  We are looking for experienced lawyers to join our property and litigation teams.

The property lawyers will play a key role in the Council’s property team, the role will encompass the full range of property and development work with a focus on complex projects and regeneration. Medway and Gravesham are currently undertaking a number of ambitious regeneration projects both themselves and through their local authority trading companies. We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals to help support this agenda.

The Litigation and Regulatory lawyer will play a key role in the Council’s litigation team handling a mixed case load of Civil and Criminal litigation in a variety of courts and tribunals, this is a wide-ranging role covering regulatory committees as well as court work and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in these arenas.

The successful applicants will play a key role in the Place team, which forms a Shared Legal Service with Gravesham Borough Council.

The team is mostly based at Gun Wharf, Chatham but the team, including the successful applicants, will be required to spend some time at the Gravesham offices.

The successful applicants will comply with quality assurance procedures, service level agreements and performance management requirements in order to meet the expectations of the clients.
