Community Safety Partnership Coordinator
Maternity Cover – Up to 12 months

£31,401 - £34,166 inclusive of outer fringe allowance

Are you interested in making a difference to our local community? We have an exciting opportunity for someone to take on this crucial role.

We are seeking a confident and outgoing person to work with our partners within Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Partnership (CSP). The successful candidate will be a great communicator and problem solver, a sound organiser, have experience in partnership working and have an interest in community safety.

As the key point of contact for the CSP, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of the CSP and its action plan, including leading on three of the six key priority areas. This role will also have the responsibility of chairing the borough’s Joint Agency Group, Domestic Abuse Forum as well as any relevant task and finish groups as deemed appropriate. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Managing a small team, this role will work with others in the Council’s Community Partnerships team and our partners in the community to develop, sustain and promote activities relating to the safety and wellbeing of those who work, live and visit the borough.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
