We are looking to recruit two experienced Project Engineers to work within our busy Asset Management team.
Under the general direction of the Asset Manager & Principal Officer you will provide professional and technical services consistent with your qualifications and experience in relation to the delivery of highways and transport services in West Berkshire and in particular land drainage and highway drainage projects. You will be supporting the delivery of the Council’s duties in relation to the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and the delivery of flood alleviation schemes. Your will also assist in the technical approval of sustainable drainage systems associated with planning applications and review applications for consent to carry out works in or near an ordinary watercourse.
You should hold a Degree and 3 years’ experience or BTEC Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent and 5 years’ experience and be willing to pursue further professional qualifications as necessary.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
