Graduate Teaching Assistant Vacancies – September 2021 Start

Thinking of a career in teaching?  The Agate Momentum Trust has vacancies for graduates who may be considering a career in teaching to work as teaching assistants at Hallsville and Scott Wilkie, starting in the new academic year.

This is a great opportunity for intelligent, hardworking and motivated individuals who are considering teaching as a career to join our friendly staff.  You will be part of a highly valued support team who make a significant contribution to our teaching and learning environment. 

The successful candidates will have:

  • Good people skills and the ability to use their initiative
  • High standards of literacy and numeracy
  • A professional manner
  • The willingness to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the changing needs of the school and the environment


These roles will involve working in class alongside other colleagues, working with small groups and working on a one-to-one basis with pupils.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to take a literacy and numeracy test as part of the interview process.

The Agate Momentum Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  The successful applicants will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to taking up post.
