Do you want to be part of a team undertaking a range of duties to improve the lives of the residents of Newark and Sherwood?

Do you want to gain a qualification in a supportive and friendly environment?

We are currently looking to recruit an Apprentice to work in our Public Protection Business Unit. You will gain a range of experience and develop skills working with teams in our Public Protection Business Unit including licensing, community protection and environmental health.

You will work towards the Level 3 Business Administration Standard whilst undertaking a role that really makes a difference to people living in Newark and Sherwood.

If you have good attention to detail, can work as a team or using your own initiative and have excellent communication skills then this may be the role for you. We are looking for candidates with Grades A*-C (9-4) in GCSE English or Maths, or equivalent, or who are willing to undertake their functional skills as part of their apprenticeship. You will also be a motivated individual, with good ICT skills, who strives to work to a high standard at all times.

You will bring an enthusiasm to tackle a range of tasks and to learn about a range of functions delivered by Newark and Sherwood District Council. You will be committed to gaining a Level 3 qualification and take a flexible approach, adapting to undertaking a varied workload.
