Learning Mentor

Learning Mentor - Maternity cover for up to twelve months, starting September 2021.

Grade 7 - Salary £24,491 - £27,741 (£12,793 - £14,491 Pro Rata)

22.5 hours per week (3 days per week), 39 weeks per year.

Working days – 3 days per week - to be confirmed at interview

Are you a patient, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is looking for a challenging but very rewarding role as a Learning Mentor? As a Learning Mentor you will be supporting students with a range of emotional, behavioral or social issues. 

The successful candidate will work with a team of staff that undertakes a wide range of pastoral responsibilities within the school: Working 1 to 1 with students and liaising with outside agencies, supporting teaching and learning by making referrals and supporting students with barriers to learning.

 As the ideal candidate, you will:

* Have the ability to engage constructively with, and build working relationships with, a wide range of young people and their families

* Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team with teaching staff and outside agencies

* Have the experience of supporting students with mental health, social, emotional and behavioral difficulties.

* Have a willingness to manage their own time effectively, work flexibly and use their own initiative
