Lifestyle Advisor

Are you a highly motivated individual?

Do you have a passion for health, fitness & wellbeing?

Do you embrace technology as a way to engage people about their health?

Then Halton Health Improvement Team needs you...

We are looking for 2 confident, motivated and approachable Lifestyle Advisors to help support our Weight Management and Exercise on Referral Programmes.

These posts are offered on a fixed term 12 month basis.

We require candidates with coaching skills that can work with clients - online and in person - to improve their overall health and well-being. So the ability to develop individualized plans to assist clients in achieving specific health and wellness goals is a must. Due to COVID restrictions the ability to work remotely and offer advice and support using application software is a must.

You will be working closely with a variety of health professionals to target adults in special population groups such as cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation and more.

Successful applicants will have a recognised Level 3 GP referral qualification and a willingness to undertake a recognised Level 4 exercise qualification such as BACPR.

So if you are looking to make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of the local community using the skills you have, and are open to developing new and innovative ways of increasing the impact of our services then we want to hear from you!

The role will involve regular travel across the borough and sometimes further afield. Therefore, the post holder must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle. Where necessary, reasonable adjustments will be made in accordance with the Equality Act

You must also be able to work outside of normal office hours if required.

If successful, you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for an Enhanced DBS Check or an Enhanced DBS Check for Regulated Activity. Further information about the DBS Scheme can be found at

The Council and its schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff, workers and volunteers to share this commitment.
