Principal Legal Assistant (fixed term contract for two years)

Hertsmere is located in southern Hertfordshire – we are 13 miles from Central London and within the M25. We adjoin Greater London with excellent road and rail links making London and the Home Counties easily accessible. The Council Offices are situated in Borehamwood within Zone 6 and with a direct rail link into London Kings Cross St. Pancras. The area is an internationally renowned centre for film and television production, home to BBC Elstree and Elstree Studios (a council owned asset).

We are seeking someone to join our Legal team to provide a professional conveyancing service and to undertake all types of conveyancing transactions, particularly those of a complex nature

In order to deliver a high quality service, you must have experience in undertaking and being responsible for the sale and purchase of land property, complex conveyancing transactions and providing reports for managers and councillors.

The required qualification standard for this post is Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience of conveyancing to join our Legal team who are committed to the provision of first class customer service.

The post is offered on a two year fixed term basis (36 hours per week).
