Pathfinder Higher Level Family Support Worker

Calling all System Changers!

The Birmingham SEMH Pathfinder is an innovative family support model that seeks to create a continuum of support and opportunities, for individuals, families and communities to achieve positive and sustained change.  We offer sustained family support and multi-agency interventions through schools, supporting not just the child, but their whole family.

After a successful pilot stage, the Pathfinder is now being mobilised across a whole district in the south of the city. In autumn term 2021 we will embark on an exciting next phase of Pathfinder development; supporting families with early years and primary school aged children. We are recruiting a Pathfinder Higher Level Family Support Worker who will work within a psychologically informed approach with families, school staff, multi-agency specialists and public/voluntary sector organisations. A key focus will be to ensure effective and meaningful early help is offered to families, ensuring that the Pathfinder values of Shared Authority, Nurture and Commitment to Social Justice are at the heart of your practice.

If you have proven experience in supporting people who have experienced a range of multiple harms and related trauma, such as, Exploitation, Domestic Abuse or Alcohol or Substance Misuse issues etc., either in social care and/or education settings; are confident in working with a range of multi-agencies and professionals; and passionate about making a positive difference to children, families and communities, then we would love to hear from you!

For informal enquiries please contact Rob McCabe - 07954169503

Shortlisting to commence w/c 26th July 2021
