The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) have awarded the Liverpool City Region £2.1million as part of the Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer programme.
The Homelessness Strategy Team within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) will coordinate and manage the Trailblazer funding across the region, in partnership with the constituent Local Authorities. We are embarking on an ambitious programme, to fundamentally reform the response to homelessness. We want to put prevention at the heart of this approach to reduce the number of people who face a homelessness crisis in the first place.
As part of this programme of work Knowsley Council are seeking an Intensive Support Worker (Homelessness) with knowledge and experience of working to support vulnerable clients.
The successful candidate will work in the Housing Solutions Service and work with clients who have recently experienced homelessness. The purpose of the intensive support role will be to provide clients with the support they require on resettlement to enable them to settle into their new home to provide them with the best chances of sustaining their home in the future and to avoid future homelessness.
The successful candidate will need to show a drive and commitment to preventing homelessness, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. A willingness to learn, adapt and lead change will also be required.
