Social Work Assessor

Grade 7-8 £29,577- £37,890  (depending on post qualifying experience)

Permanent Full time.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker with full Social Work England registration to join our WISH (Wokingham Integrated Social Care and Health) service. The post holder will work within an established multi professional statutory assessment team and will undertake assessments for people in the community in the early stages of the Adult Social Care Pathway using a Strengths Based Approach. This will be to establish eligibility for Social Care services in line with the Care Act (2014) framework, and will also involve meeting immediate need to manage risk. Completing Safeguarding investigations and working with the Mental Capacity Act will be an integral part of the role.  The role involves working with adults with a broad range of needs including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older people and people with dementia. It also involves completing Carers Assessments and providing information, advice and support to Carers.

We are a very supportive team, and offer a structured induction programme, regular supervision, ASYE, and good opportunities for CPD including BIA training.

You will need to be flexible and be able to prioritise and manage your time effectively.  A car driver
is essential as we cover a rural as well as urban area and there is very limited public transport.
