Business Change Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Change Lead to join Wirral Council Organisational Design Team. As the Business Change Lead you will be instrumental in managing, leading and delivering complex change across a large-scale ERP Transformation, including Oracle Finance and HCM transformations. This is an exciting time to join Wirral Council; this will be a significant transformation project that will require innovative thinking, creativity and an opportunity to lead organisational wide change.

The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship management skills with the ability to navigate diverse and sometimes conflicting stakeholder views and interests to deliver successful outcomes. You will be resilient, comfortable with change, complexity and uncertainty. You will be creative and fresh-thinking with a strong change management background, supporting multiple stakeholders through complex change.

The successful candidate will have a background in Business Change and will need to have a strategic understanding of the ERP Project delivery alongside change activities. A key focus of this role will be to effectively embed cultural change; this will include effective communication and engagement strategies and learning and development strategies.


The post is initially for a period of 2 years; however, there is a possibility this may be extended in future.


This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home.  In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
