School Transport Driver

We are looking for a School Transport Driver. Our Transport Services are dedicated to transporting the most vulnerable children of our community from home to school and back. This is your chance to become part of a reliable and efficient team, delivering high standard passenger transport services throughout the county. Do you enjoy driving?  Are you able to work split shifts……we want to hear from you!


Who you are…

  • You hold a current standard driving license with D1 entitlement
  • Experience of driving a small commercial vehicle or minibus
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work split shifts across the day
  • Able to check vehicles to ensure road worthiness


The role…

Based at our site in Ashwell, the School Transport Driver is part of a team that operates a continually effective daily transport service, ensuring this is achieved completely and on time.  Your passengers may include the general public and children with special educational needs or disabilities. On complex routes you will be supported by a Passenger Transport Assistant during the journey.


The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS is paid by us.


The School Transport Driver interviews will be held during will be held week commencing 04 October 2021. Please note that this may be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
