A new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Job Coach to work with young people aged 16-24 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who need support to participate in the Supported Internship Programme.
Working under the direction of the Supported Internship Programme Team Leader and Service Manager, the post holder will provide work related support to individuals participating in the Supported Internship Programme. A key focus will be to assess and provide support to individuals with disability and/or learning difficulty and help the intern develop the skills to learn and perform the work tasks in the workplace and learning environment.
The postholder will be educated to NVQ Level 3 or have equivalent level of experience in paid or unpaid work. You will be a committed, positive and engaging individual who will strive for the best outcomes for your interns to ensure they successfully reach their goals and aims. You will have experience of successfully engaging and maintaining effective relationships with employers/businesses. You will be required to work closely with Adult Learning Tutors and employers to deliver effective support in the workplace and learning environment.
