Our parking enforcement team aims to provide a high quality of civil enforcement action throughout Central Bedfordshire to aim to ensure the free movement of traffic and rotation of car parking spaces within our Car Parks and on street parking. We endeavour to maximise compliance of our parking restrictions through education and enforcement. By providing local residents, visitors and businesses clear and effective parking solutions we help make sure Central Bedfordshire is a great place to live and work.
You will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement in order to minimise vehicles parking in contravention, through the issue of penalty charge notices. You will provide this service in accordance with the council’s objectives and policies. Full training will be given to the successful candidate, this will include on the job training and a level 2 award for parking enforcement officers. You will be required to apply for Standard DBS clearance as part of the Recruitment process and you will need to be able to drive with access to a vehicle.
Using your great communication skills you will be confident in dealing with members of the public, council members and partners while representing the Council in a positive and proactive manner.
