You will be responsible for delivering an Employment Adviser role within the Step2Skills Supported Employment Service supporting people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups, to gain paid employment.
Our Advisers support people disadvantaged in the labour market to find and sustain appropriate employment commensurate with their skills and abilities. You will deal with a range of tasks, which will include vocational assessments, assisting with C. V’s, interview practice, engaging with potential employers and undertaking assessments in an employment setting. You may also be required to work alongside clients in their new jobs, training them until they are able to undertake the tasks independently.
The ideal candidates will have experience in working to overcome the challenges faced by people furthest from the job market. They will possess a wide range of skills and capabilities, such as effective communication, negotiation, sales, flexibility, training, motivation and be able to challenge misconceptions. They must be highly organised, able to work on their own initiative and the ability to generate their own workload.
