The starting salary for this role is £35,382 per annum, working 36 hours per week.
Surrey’s Local Resilience Forum (SLRF) are delighted to make you aware of an exciting opportunity which is available on a 12 month fixed term basis.
SLRF is a multi-agency partnership made up of representatives from local public services, including the Emergency Services, Local Authorities, NHS England and the Environment Agency. It brings together agencies with a significant role to play in responding to and recovery from the effects of emergencies and was formed to meet the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The SLRF aims to plan and prepare for local incidents and large-scale emergencies.
The main focus of this Programme Officer role will be focusing on supporting the Head of SLRF Strategy & Innovation and SLRF partners with the National and Local Resilience Forum Pilot programme. You will provide programme management and support across various work streams.
The role will link into the Government workstreams and support delivery across the SLRF partnership. The current government themes are:
- Strategic, cross-cutting capacity
- Data intelligence and information
- The whole society approach to resilience
- Wider Integrated Review Priorities
As Surrey's Local Resilience Forum Programme Officer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of project management across several work streams. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working unaided and unsupervised. This role will also involve liaising with both internal and external stakeholders including partners across SLRF. You will be required to travel to meet the needs of the role and must be willing and able to do so.
To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:
- Experience in project management and its principles
- Demonstrable experience of running a project through its full lifecycle
- Proven written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with good negotiation and influencing skills
- Proficiency in applications such as Word and Excel
- Strong engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Capability of taking meeting minutes and producing analytical reports
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports
- Ability to work to several deadlines and manage workload accordingly.
