Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is located within a beautiful Garden City, brimming with culture and opportunity; this sought-after location is a popular place to live, raise a family and work.

During the pandemic we have continued to deliver fantastic services to residents and have risen to new challenges through the adoption of new ways of working and innovation in service delivery. Maintaining excellent services and supporting the most vulnerable residents has been at the heart of our response to Covid-19. The Council’s new modernisation strategy sets out how we will continue to improve our ways of working to become a more efficient and responsive Council.

We are currently seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Coordinator to support the Anti-Social Behaviour Team in tackling and reducing anti-social behaviour across the borough, dealing with low-level anti-social behaviour that has an impact on the wider community and making a positive difference to the lives of residents in Welwyn Hatfield. Employing a tenure neutral service and multi-agency approach, the ASB team works in partnership with the Police and other agencies to safeguard individuals and reduce the risk of harm to the community.

About you

As a motivated and dedicated officer with demonstrable experience of dealing with low level anti-social behaviour casework, you will:

  • Be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Have a pragmatic and flexible approach in all aspects of your work.
  • Have a problem-solving approach to addressing anti-social behaviour.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.

Closing date for applications is 19 September 2021.

Assessments will be held on 23 September 2021.

Interviews will be held on 27 September 2021.
