Senior Specialist - Community Transport Unit

Grade 9 - £38,890- £43,857 per annum

We require an experienced professional to manage the day to day operations of the Community Transport Unit.  This is initially a 2 year full time position.

This role will have overall operational responsibility for the delivery of home to school transport & adult day care transport across the borough and corporate fleet management services, reporting to the Community Transport Unit Manager.  The role will also include supporting our colleagues in Children’s Services and Adult Social Care with developing their strategies around home to school transport and adult day care services.

In addition to your experience of working in management of community, integrated or public transport and fleet management, you will also be qualified to degree level.  Having, or working towards an O Licence would also be desirable.  It is important that you have excellent budget management, project and performance management skills. You will also need to demonstrate effective PR and communication skills, along with having some experience of working effectively with elected members and residents.
